Tom Schroeder has been drawing and producing his own animated films since 1990. His 2002 film, "Bike Ride," which humorously chronicles a teenager's trip to see his out of town girlfriend, has played over 60 festivals internationally (including Annecy, Rotterdam, Edinburgh and Ottawa) and has won seven awards. "Bike Ride" can be seen on the new season of Independent Lens and on the "Best of ResFest, Vol. II" DVD. His 2003 film Driving with Harv, a mixed media piece based on a car trip with an aging neighbor couple, is currently on the festival circuit. A new film keeps Tom busy in between commercial work and his part-time position as assistant professor of animation at The Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Tom Schroeder served his apprenticeship working in commercial animation for Gav Gnatovich and for Reelworks
