on the other hand, we might speculate how things would turn out if she had been a Catholic who became a Reformed baptist after she claimed to have been molested by a priest. I'm not saying Mr. White would take advantage, but I'm sure there would be takers in the Protestant community. that doesn't excuse any cheap shots, but I think it's understandable from a human pov. it's really not about mrs. bonds, but about Mr. white, hence the desire to either attack or promote her in relation to him.

logical yes: our subjective experience (or "emotions") are not the final arbiter of truth. however it should be pointed out how much emphasis is placed on those things in the Protestant tradition in general. perhaps Mr. White doesn't do this, but it is quite common for apologists on his side of the reformation to use conversions from the Catholic faith (or any other tradition) for apologetic value. the true or falsity of White's position isn't based on the case of Patty Bonds of course.

How is giving her a podium to tell her story of being molested as a child attacking White personally? Nobody is blaming White for what happened to Patti What was only a child when this happened. There is good reason to have fault with his actions now, however, because of his lack of charity towards his sister and the slanderous things he has said about her. Also when Patti went on EWTN they never mentioned White's name even once. Only that her brother was a protestant apologist.

Bonds made the accusation of child molestation against a dead man who has no opportunity to refute it.

Moreover, not even a SCINTILLA of evidence exists to corroborate her claim. If this false accusation were made in court, she'd be laughed out.

But Bonds- who once on EWTN thanked the Virgin Mary for saving her marriage (she's now divorced) will continue to play this false accusation card to reap the attention as "James White's Poor Wounded Sister" her warped psyche so desparately craves.

White's behavior towards his sister have been totally uncharitable. The way that he constantly refers to her as "Mrs. Bonds" in stead of by name. The way he has attacked her and Steve Ray simply for coming out with her conversion story to the true faith. Now he's attacking her because she is going public about the abuse she faced as a child. He seriously has issues in my opinion. His behavior is not a fruit of the Holy Ghost
