I am haveing the same problem and im scared to bang it what should i do. i tried restoring it and nothing happened

jut call apple if you are still having problems I would say theres a 95% chance theyll be able to fix it.

restore it of put in dfu mode

i have the same probelm when u hold it up in the bright light u can see it on but it so dark

then just plug in your ipod and effing restore it
