We wanted a separate switch to control a single fixture over the sink and counter. 1/2" conduit was run from the work box to the switch, so I added a duplex type switch and pulled another conductor through to the work box, where I connected it to the hot coming from the light fixture over the sink. Got an ivory switch the next day, and a medium-oversize switch plate to cover the chips in the drywall. All wiring there is 20 amp armored cable, 12ga, on steel studs. I LOVE how drop ceilings make everything so easy to access!

  • Hi, can i add another wall socket from another socket?

  • @iq4u3 Depends, it's possible, but I don't know how the wiring is set up where ever you want to do this, and chances are you'd have to get to the wiring behind the wall. Details?
