  • @RickSkold Anytime you inject you will add additional moisture. The cornish game hens only fry for about 14 minutes and there juicy without injecting. I did season the outside with a cajun or a season all spice. If you frying a turkey I would inject.

  • Does injecting help a bird be more moist, or is it just for flavoring? I want to inject butter and broth only if it makes it more moist.

  • @tjdinfl I would fry the half for the same time if they were whole 14 min's.

  • I recently purchased one of your fryers to use this Thanksgiving. I am getting ready to fry some cornish hens though and I have cut them in half prior to frying, that's how I do it when I grill them. Next time I fry them I will leave them whole. My question is (since I've already cut them), do you have any idea how long you would fry them if they are cut in half?

  • A few things come into play here.

    1. The amount of time to cook the hens is only 14 minutes where a turkey will cook up to 56 minutes.

    2. The amount of seasonings used on the outside of the hens.

    3. New cooking oil. New oil is clear and golden in color giving the same color to the game hens.

    Hope this helps Happy Holidays

  • Why does the skin not brown like the turkey does?
