Arai Helmets will launch the "RX-7 RR5" flagship model of full face helmets in May 2008.

As the main material, Arai adopted a new material known as super fiber, which exhibits 40% more tensile strength and compression strength than ordinary glass fiber. The interior material, which is combined as a composite material, was also upgraded to a material that exhibits high level adhesiveness with the new super fiber to further increase strength.

The form of the shield was updated to improve safety performance, and a custom "Super AdSis I Shield" was adopted that provides a wider peripheral field of view due to the 5mm expansion on both the right and left sides. A rib was installed at the top of the shield to minimize the step between the shield and the shell and reduce wind noise and air turbulence.

The helmet is available in five different colors including white, glass white, glass black, alumina silver, and platina gray, and the price of the new helmet is set at 55,650 yen.

i like that you want to see tests to prove it's worth, but before you even saw the test you already discredited the spoiler!!! that's not scientific at all, wait for the test and then make your judgement.

Incorrect. I can tell you the spoiler does do a job. Nothing at slow speed, but keeps your head a touch more stable at high speed, especially when on the road being buffeted by turbulence from trucks ahead of you.

Hopefully Arai will re-issue the Colin Edwards RX-7 yellow/red replica, the helmet design which he wore when he rode for WSBK Castrol Honda team in 1999/2000. In my opinion thats the most striking design/colour Arai helmet to date... Please Arai...Thank you
