I did think about that alot, after my brother was killed when his friend was driving too fast and skidded into a phone pole 2 weeks ago. His friend asked our family for forgiveness and it was hard to say yes, but we did anyways... Life is to short to hold grudges, life is also to short to have a grudge held against you.
Ok... sorry about your loss, I can relate. But all I was saying is, keep it on the track. Someone dying or being turned into a veggie is way less likely to happen when on a controlled race course with medical personnel on standby. Know what I mean?
Nick should have been the veggie, not his friend... Cause, true... him dying wouldn't let him learn a lesson. Living the rest of his natural-born-life without being able to move, eat, or do anything on his own would be a much better lesson.
I get what you are saying. But I don't think he is a bad guy for it, people make mistakes, sometimes mistakes that ruin others lives. That's how we all grow, and learn.
We don't know what was actually going on in the car prior to the wreck, for all we know the other guy could have said "Come on dude, lets race!" All in all, I don't think it was right for either of them. But the other guy has come a long way sence the wreck too.
