ive never been a fan of anne, really of her disregards for queen katherine and princess marys feelings,she acted as though they were her enemies instead of the victims.. she was an awful stepmother to mary.., but ive always admired her intellect and no nonsence, she wasnt afraid to speak her mind, be it right/wrong.. qualities i hold in high regards..

@FlowerChild65 I suppose it was in some ways. But she used other talents (her sharp mind and determination) combined with her ambition to become queen. Yet, in the end, everything she had reached for with her ambition came crashing down around her because she had never thought that she might wind up in the same position as Katherine of Aragon. (Although to be fair, given her age, she had no reason to think she would fail to deliver a healthy son.)

@FlowerChild65 I really don't think that this movie is denying that she was a great woman who was innocent of the charges brought together. But, as much as I do love Anne, she was also human and therefore had flaws, one of them being her own ambition.

@CallXenaWarrior Yes it is. It's based much on The Other Boleyn Girl (utter slander and fabrication) and not on actual history. Anne was a great Queen who was unfairly put to death as the result of a political coup.

@FlowerChild65 Not really. There must be some people (obviously not Wolsey) who warned Anne not to get deluded by the power Henry was giving her. Moreover, this was a crucial time for Henry cuz he knew that, by marrying Anne, there's no going back for him and England.
