Question- by focusing on one particular 'learning style' wouldn't that have harmful effects on the development of the other 'learning styles'?

I mean if you don't use it you lose it right and when these people are all fully educated and move on into the workplace most will have no choice but to use a variety of learning styles.

What about old information that refuses to come out when needed? Everybody speaks about learning new information but my problem is that I can't get to control the information I already dealt with. I know it is there because when I open the book I learned from everything makes sense and it feels that I knew all that. Does anybody feel the same? Beginning to read all over again and try to consolidate the information is not helping.
