Could you tell me where you bought/found the picture of Marie Antoinette?

@anneke06 Hi! I actually got the image off of google. I know that this image is old (It's a portrait of Marie Antoinette and made before 1923) and the copyright has expired. So it is okay to use. Just google "Marie Antoinette Portrait" :)

Love your work! What is the stuff in the big white jar?
hollye442 1 year ago
@hollye442 Hi! That is Acrylic Gel medium. I love the stuff because it acts as a sealant, glue and you can create great texture with it! I use the heavy gel, Matte finish. If i need it thinner, I can simply water it down, or I have also mixed it with modgepodge for a less expensive glue/sealant. both Liquitex and Golden Brands make great gel medium, but Liquitex is non-toxic. (I use latex gloves now if I use Golden brand)

Really fun to watch and love the final piece. What brand(s) of paint do you use? They seemed to cover really well. Thanks for sharing this process!

@carolysn Thank you so much! I use Folk Art Acrylic paint, or Delta Creamcoat. You can also use Golden fluid acrylic but it is more expensive. For the black hair I actually use black airbrush paint, as it is a thinner than the above mentioned brands, and I can create more detail in the swirls!
