香港鼓樂節自2003年創立以來，已成為香港每年一度樂團與民同樂的文化盛事。多年來，來自世界各地的鼓樂精英為觀眾帶來了多場熱血沸騰的演出。在國際享負盛名的香港中樂­團敲擊聲部獲邀到北京國家大劇院「第一屆國家大劇院國際打擊樂節」演出。音樂會將會重演這精彩演出，並將會為觀眾帶來伍卓賢為打擊樂節創作富香港特色的新曲《火龍》。被英­國衛報喻為「新一代打擊樂力量的領軍人」的王貝貝，多次獲譚盾邀請到多國巡迴演出。她於去年「香港活力鼓令24式擂台賽－ 鼓王爭霸戰」勇奪冠軍，將與樂團擊出充滿激情的鼓樂火花。門票於城市電腦售票網發售: www.urbtix.hk
Since its inception in 2003, the Hong Kong Drum Festival has become an annual gala event that the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra shares with the local community. Over the years, drum virtuosi from all over the world have given many exciting performances for our audiences. This year, the renowned Percussion Section of the Orchestra has been invited to participate in the first 'International Percussion Festival' presented by the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. The performance will be rerun during the concert and they will be premiering at the Majestic Drums XVI concert the latest work by Ng Cheuk-yin, specially written with a theme on Hong Kong. Also on the programme would be Wang Beibei, a talented percussionist who has been invited by Tan Dun to perform on many of his international tours. Wang was also the champion in last year's Hong Kong Synergy 24 Drum Competition - King of Drums Challenge.
