His whole point was just to find a way to stand up and do offensive jokes in blackface. The irony was that he didn't do a single black joke. There was a statement there and it was ahead of it's time and still may be. I think it was a way of mocking racism that was way over everyones head.

This is funny....I'm black and not offended, if you listen he was making fun of eveyone!!! If you can't laugh at yourself, you shouldn't laugh at anyone else..... Truthfully, we all are damaged goods!!! If its funny....laugh!
