Protecting trees in small parks isn't enough. The Amazon is the world's 'air conditioner' and it is being turned into desert. This is more than enough reason to take military action against Brazil. That seems harsh, but we need to breathe, don't we?

I discovered the General Sherman tree was originally named the Karl Marx tree by the Kaweah Colony, a utopian socialist group that started up in the area to do logging in the 1880. When logging there was prohibited the colony closed down, and the tree was renamed. If it can be renamed once, why can't it be renamed again. Any suggestions?

Is there any movement to change the name of theso called General Sherman tree? Sherman was one of the worst people in US histoy. This tree belongs to all the world and should be a symbol of peace.
