Iain Gray on Newsnight Scotland 7th May 2008

Quagmire from Family Guy lookalike Iain Gray MSP is a man on a mission. A mission to get the hell out of the BBC's Edinburgh studio. Look at his eyes, darting away from camera every 20 seconds, desperately seeking an illuminated 'FIRE EXIT' sign to make quick his escape.

Sadly for Iain, and happily for Gordon Brewer and us, he's going nowhere.

Haven't a clue what they're talking about as I just wanted to show my children who Iain Gray is...Labour need to find a leader who has some charisma if we are ever to be rid of the awful SNP and KIng Salmond with their soft touch scotland protecting the criminals & prisoners rights...fact people...Scotland will never be fully independant and despite voting for SNP in 2007 I would never do so again as Salmond has shown what he'd do for Scotland & I care about my childrens future

@idrathernotthannever. Read my original comment again. In Westminster it is Labour or Tory. The SNP can't win in a westminster contest therefore unless you want a Tory government you should vote Labour. The fact that Labour's vote held up in Scotland in 2010 meant the tories did not win an overall majority. Labour lost seats in every electoral region of the UK apart from Scotland.

@RichardElden do your home work only 11billion a year comes from the exchequer and even at this it has been estimated with oil revenue the scots subsidize the rest of the uk by £800 a head per annam 2006 alone. but thats for by the by your original argument of voting labour to keep the torys out does not and never has worked for scotland

@RichardElden It's not labour or Liberal policy cut backs but new neo liberalism of old tory new right individualism ideas of " the big society" that are being implemented at westminster. and who is the prim-minister? a tory .It doesn't matter who scotland votes for in a westminster election its Englands leafy suburbs and the home counties that decide the government or have you forgotten the 80s when once again scotland voted Labour only to get Thatcher, and mass redundancy. SNP= vote counts
