Excellent playing indeed...hard to believe this is a high school ensemble. I do agree with crazyclarinetgirl though. Listen to the Reference recording (Holidays & Epiphanies - Jerry Junkin/Dallas Wind Symphony) and the slightly brighter tempo does add more spark to this incredible piece. Still...overall, the Rancho bernardo HS Wind Ensemble can be very proud of their stellar performance.
good job. Sounds really good, but it sounds a bit slow. Our Symphonic Band is playing this and we're just barely getting it up to 178. It's supposed to be at 184
Sorta slow... 2 minuets longer than it is supposed to be, but i like it :P

This band makes this piece seem waaayyyy too easy. Excellent playing!

this is so beautiful. it's so much better than as a marching show, which is what my school's doing this year.

It's a very difficult piece to play. I loved playing this one in my community college concert band. Ron Nelson's compositions are very special. :)

WOW! Very nice playing. I wouldn't guess this was a high school band.

"YOU GO," Marimba-boy! Wow........
But "Fantasy Variations" was written by James Barnes, not J. B. Chance.
