A voyage to moon. Chandrayaan-I.

Chandrayaan I (Sanskrit: चंद्रयान-1, lit: Lunar Craft), is an unmanned lunar exploration mission by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The mission includes a lunar orbiter as well as an impactor. The spacecraft will be launched by a modified version of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle.

The remote sensing satellite will weigh 1304 kg (590 kg initial orbit mass and 504 kg dry mass) and carry high resolution remote sensing equipment for visible, near infrared, soft and hard X-ray frequencies. Over a two-year period, it is intended to survey the lunar surface to produce a complete map of its chemical characteristics and 3-dimensional topography. The polar regions are of special interest, as they might contain water ice.

The mission includes five ISRO payloads. Six other payloads from NASA, ESA, and the Bulgarian Aerospace Agency are getting free ride thanks to the Indian generosity.

Mission Objectives:

1) To launch and orbit a spacecraft in lunar polar orbit and conduct scientific studies.
2) To carry out high resolution mapping of topographic features in 3D, distribution of various minerals and elemental chemical species including radioactive nuclides covering the entire lunar surface using a set of remote sensing payloads. The new set of data would help in unraveling mysteries about the origin and evolution of solar system in general and that of the moon in particular or on its composition and mineralogy.
3) Realize the mission goal of harnessing the science payloads, lunar craft and the launch vehicle with suitable ground support system including DSN station, integration and testing, launching and achieving lunar orbit of ~100 km, in-orbit operation of experiments, communication/telecommand, telemetry data reception, quick look data and archival for scientific utilization by identified group of scientists.

  • India can see, lots of development in a decade and more cause, once the BLACK MONEY Stashed in safe heavens comes back, the figures will be different. Estimated Black money outside india is about $6 trillions USD, and Internal black is also there. That is huge money.

India also has lots of gold and silver in each and every family, which is shockingly very high. Internal market started picking up, that is huge.

In a decades time you can see lots of canges in the Infrastructure in India.

  • @ryancjjba not only pakistanis, muslims in general are nastier..................

  • people of India r still poor not due 2 d spendings of d government towards d science missions, but due to corruption, d enormous amount of Indian money stacked in foreign banks....which r Indian tax payer's money....and which r supposed to be used for India's welfare. Once, a Swiss bank director said, "Indians r poor but India is not a poor country......." --based on d amount of money stacked in Swiss banks only. So stopping the progress of science is not d solution.......

  • @RpgMakerVXTutor lol, keep dreaming.

  • @omerthe3rd Can you keep your mouth shut on Indian videos please? you beggars.. clean your house first.. we know what to do with our country.. SHUT UP!!

  • Lol, nationalistic fuckers. Pakistan sucks and India stinks.

  • Failing state, LOL !!! There is only one failing state in South Asia, that's Pakistan, in spite of all the aid the Americans have pumped in.

  • @omerthe3rd

We may have one of the largest concentration of poor people but we also have the largest concentration of Middle Class also. NOt to mention the Super Rich whose names you can find in the forbes list.

ITs a big population therefore every demography is big. U need to understand that.

  • @omerthe3rd

...and we know there are people in our country who live below the poverty line. It may be a large concentration but its not the majority. If you look at statistics the percentage is declining. Slow but at-least its not increasing neither is it in a status quo.

  • @omerthe3rd

its not good thing to disrespect people. INdia's been through a lot despite which we still are making such developments. I know as compared to the americans or the russians this is not that big a deal. But for us compared to here we were, where we are now and where we are headed its a great achievement. I will refrain from commenting about ur country.
