@bracemachine09 No, you're wrong. There are some real guitar masters who make music instead of noise like Slash does. Not convinced? Just read the comments in this thread, and you'll see I'm not the only one who thinks Schon is truly great in what he does and Slash isn't quite as good. While musical tastes are subjective, putting Slash in the same league as Schon is a total joke. As a guitar instructor of more than three decades of experience, I feel that I know a thing or two about the guitar.

Neal verus anyone, altjough I hate comparing great guitar players. Let's be honest, Schon is an underrated player because he played with Journey and music snobs can't handle that. Schon is so good he blows away must "Top 50 Guitar Player Lists" that he NEVER makes - FACT.

Hey, how about enjoying both of these guys without trying to pit one against the other. They are both great in their own styles of music. Life does not always have to be about outdoing each other. Just sit back and enjoy the talent!

neither are better than one another there too different styles of guitar playing slash is more of a harmonizer with vocals and neil is more of a melodic rock player there both great in my eyes but slash still has one of the most unforgettable solos of all times that people will never forget me personally my favorite band is gnr always was and will be so i like everything slash does plus he's a good person but there both great i know ill get a message from someone talking shit so it's all opinion
