Killer Nacho's Fire Red Playthrough Part 49: "The Rivalry Turnabout, Reece"

Woot woot! If I want to be champion, I have to defeat the champion! Here's a battle with my friend, rival, and perhaps one of the largest doushebags on the internet, Reece Benlier. Only one of us can be champion, and I'll make sure that someone is me! If I win, I'll probably do the Island quests.

You seem to be forgetting that the effect of the badges only works on your pokemon, even though Reece also has all 8 badges, and the E4 should by definition have them.

So your Pokemon get I think it's a 10% boost in all stats, which is the reason you're outspeeding them (and generally just winning fights you may not otherwise, due to the level disadvantage). All part of the fact it's a game marketed to kids who want to think their pokemon are better than everyone else's.

@NipissingLakers the lvl difference makes up for the badge boost so really unless u really go do some intensive training u shld not b able 2 reach their lvl within the same time frame
