The story centers around Ryan and Leelin Taboada, and their children, John and Veronica, during a trip through Roanoke, VA, in March, 2003. • Also, thanks to @sheldonVT90, my cousin, he and his family were instrumental in my recovery and helping my family the whole time I was there in the hospital in Roanoke as well as the subsequent visits in the years following. And thanks again @rongee for posting this. Is your daughter still doing acting? Has she been in anything else we may have seen? :)

  • @ryboy98 The only major role she's had recently is in a short independent film called "A Nice Old-Fashioned Romance" that is being screened in Hollywood tomorrow as part of the Hollyshorts film festival. Other than that, the only other thng she's done where she's recognizable is an episode of the TV detective series, Monk, called "Monk and The Kid"; she appears briefly at the beginning of the episode as part of a group of four foster children.

  • OMG! I can't believe this is on youtube! This is about me and my family!!! I was the one shot! I can't believe you have this! Which one is your daughter?! This is amazing! PLease respond! or MSG me!

  • @ryboy98 Hi, Ryan, glad you were able to find the video. My daughter played your daughter, Veronica. The shooting must have been a terrifying ordeal for you and your family. Thank goodness you came out of it alive. Hope all is well with you and your family, now.

  • so im kinda confused as to why the guy inside that just checked them in didn't even hear the gun shots or ran outside to help? RUDE

  • @nikkinickk The layout of the actual hotel is different than the one seen in the TV episode. The TV episode was filmed at an isolated hotel in the Santa Clarita valley of California, close to Los Angeles. The hotel where the shooting took place was a Holiday Inn Express at 815 Gainsboro Rd., Roanoke, Virginia, 24016. If you look at the hotel on Google Maps, you'll see that the layout is very different, so maybe they parked their car so far from the lobby that the clerk couldn't hear the shots.

  • @lokpikr999

So do I! and like you, I'm a guy too!

Actually, I think this could easily be considered a spinoff of another one of my favorite Primetime TV Shows, "Rescue 9-1-1"!

  • I watched this show when I was really young, around 8 or ten. I was kind of convinced anytime I stepped outside something bad could and would happen.

  • I'm so glad you and your family got out of this alive, I really felt for you and your family watching this, how terrified you must've all been. I hope you havent lost your faith in people and that your kids are able to get past this. God bless :). thanks for the upload

  • Holy shit. I wouldn't of been able to sleep for months.

  • @MsSaucynoodles awwwwwwww i don't blame you

  • @AnimeLuvr001 i hope you mean the shooter

  • I cried watching this

  • @Christty004 Yes, this is us. Actually, the show had it wrong, I was shot 12 times but there were 16 entry and exit wounds so it was a little mixed up. But, Lot's of support and prayers are what helped me get through it. i also had much more muscle mass back then. I had alot of muscle atrophy due to the paralysis. I was actually completely paralyzed when I woke and had to work through it. The doctors said my athletic build had a big factor in my survival and slowing the rounds as they entered

  • @ryboy98 omg this is you?? how can you survive being shot 16x???!!!! that is crazy and it wasent your turn to go.

You still have a purpose here to share you amazing story and be with you family.

I love this show. teaches everone (especially women) to be caution and know what to do.

  • This show needs to come out on dvd!

  • leen and rye,God bless you guys.
