Congratulations! You are so eloquent. You speak like a true 'Slave Macedonian' hillbilly. Having said that 'Slav Macedonians' are beautiful people. I have many friends from Bitola and their hearts are beautiful and so are their manners. You on the other hand must be from some other tribe - ignorant, crude and just outright base. You do your people and the beautiful 'Slav Macedonians' a great diservice. Please go wash you mouth before you express yourself. It'snot nice at all.

Good point to latch on to but very weak indeed. Have you ever been to a gathering of Greek Cypriots and Greeks for the mainland? If you had you would understand the idea of territoriality. Greeks from Greece will refer to the Greek-Cypriots as 'Cypriots'. Hence they would say: 'We were sitting at a table together - Greeks and Cypriots. It denotes territoriality. Moreover, Greeks today still say it about a Greek from Thesaloniki. They say 'the Macedonian'. Read..

Arrian "The Compaigns of Alexander" "Gentlemen of Macedon, and you my friends and allies, this must not be. Stand firm; for well you know that hardship and danger are the price of glory, and that sweet is the savour of a life of courage and of deathless renown beyond the grave." [p.294] An obvious question: If Macedonians were Greeks, and Macedonia was a Greek land, then, how can we reconcile with the fact that Alexander calls the Greeks "his allies" next to his Macedonians?

Quintus Rufus "The History of Alexander" [Alexander speaks to his Macedonian troops] Where is that shout of yours that shows your enthusiasm? Where that characteristic look of my Macedonians?" [p.217]

Quintus Rufus "The History of Alexander" "Accordingly, one festive day, Alexander had a sumptuous banquet organized so that he could invite not only his principle friends among the Macedonians and Greeks but also the enemy nobility." [p.188]
Points of interest: Macedonians and Greeks. If ancient Macedonians were Greeks, then, one identifier would have been sufficient. As you can see, the ancient authors knew the difference between Greeks and Macedonians.

While Demosthenes was still in exile, Alexander died in Babylon, and the Greek states combined yet again to form a league against Macedon. Demosthenes attached himself to the Athenian convoys, and threw all his energies into helping them incite the various states to attack the Macedonians and drive them out of Greece." [p.212] Plutarch, 'The Age of Alexander' [Plutarch here specifically distinguishes Greece from Macedonia.]
YOU LOVE TOO MUCH MACEDONIANS

The Pelazgian people are clearly described in Homeric poems as non-Greek, with their own language and traditions totally different from Greek. They inhabited the Balkan Peninsula (known by the names Macedonians, Thracians, Illyrians, etc.) and they spread throughout south-eastern Europe (under the common name Scythians). Later, they migrated to the east in Asia Minor (Lydians, Brigians-Frigians etc.) and to the west into central and northern Italy (Etruscans, Veneti etc).

In the Iliad and Odyssey, attributed to Homer, the great multitude of non-Greek people living around Olympus and further north in Europe were described as being as, Numerous as the leaves in the forests with chariots and weapons decorated with gleaming gold and silverlike gods.
