I am not recommending mold. I keep my food covered but if there is mold it is not going to hurt in moderation.

oh and by the Mharley93...considering that most of your favorite videos are sex vids I am not taking your comments to heart. good luck in life and hope you get better so you are not so upset at a worm video

now that i have already seen the whole video... you dont want to feed your worms mold because they will spoil. and colored ink from newspaper is toxic. so instead of using the sears articles, that obviously nobody cares about, use black and white pages only!

well actually it has been proven that the worms take out the bad things and heavy metals in the ink if there are any. I have never lost any worms with the way I do it and the castings I have always used on my house plants and yard. The mold does not hurt them either as I have seen the mold on coffee grounds and they seem to love it. As with anything if you use too much of something it can be bad.

so far I have not had that problem. I have the lids off of all of my bins and they stay in, the only time I notice that they do not stay in is when I put a lid on, then they want to get out, maybe due to the wetness.
