Morrissey - Cosmic Dancer

Live at St. James' Theatre, Wellington, New Zealand on the 7th September 1991 as a part of the Kill Uncle tour. This was Morrissey 1st ever New Zealand date (one of only 2 so far). An important performance as it features the whole band, as previous (and subsequent) renditions were only Moz and Boz (on guitar).

This is truly terrible. Go to the original T Rex Cosmic Dancer to hear this great song sung properly by Marc and with good instrumental playing, particularly electrifying drumming. This version sounds like a funeral. Awful.

And obviously original recordings are better because they are just that, original!

That's why they get copied by amazing people like Morrissey.

@sidgrozzer He is singing it in honour of Marc Bolan so in essence it is a funeral song. You can't compare a properly recorded version to a version recorded on a cam mic anyway. I bet if you had heard it there live it would sound great.
