Read below the breathtaking arrogance of chuggers trying to defend this awful & shady industry by mixing half truths and complete lies. It just shows how out of touch & manipulative they really are. They know that people don't like it and its obvious by the bad press they get & the recognition by councils that something needs to be done because of so many complaints.The chuggers ignore this though and pretend that everything is rosy.Never believe or trust a chugger.or anyone from this industry.

(cont) what the charity does and IF the person I was speaking to was interested and wanted to help out we would negotiate a comfortable amount of money for them to donate on a monthly basis. There was never any emotional black male or harassment involved. If a fundraiser tries to stop you but you dont want to talk to them just walk on by and get on with your day and let fundraiser get on with his/her day.

I can't believe the arrogance & the cheek that an agressive beggar can feel that they have a right to bargain on how many someone is willing to give. I think this is a bit harsh. These people are just trying to make an honest living like everyone else. If it wasn't an ethical way of fundraising then the charities wouldn't keep on using them. I used to work as a charity fundraiser a couple of years back and if someone didn't want to stop for me, I would respect that and let them get on with their day and I would get on with my day. I never harassed or or exploited weak and vulnerable people and neither did any of my co workers. I would explain
