A live improvisation for me and my computer. I'm playing "electro-acoustic percussion boards" that I built that were inspired by the work of my friend Tom Nunn. The output of these boards is going through a computer program that frequency shifts and delays the sounds - so the computer is creating a constantly changing accompaniment for me based on the way it changes my playing. I hope you enjoy this video! Software: Plogue Bidule, Arturia Moog Modular V, Cycling 74 Pluggo, Algorithmic Arts ArtWonk. Hardware: contact mics, mixer, Dell laptop.
It seems everything can make frequencies and pitches. Sound effects by themselves ain't stravinsky but great things are done everyday with tools and imagination such as these!
