Dr. Mark Van Stone starts his video-series with probably one of the most important questions. Who are the Maya?
If you are more interested in the Maya, Dr. Van Stone has an awesome book, "2012 - Science and Prophecy of the Ancient Maya", where he has explained this and many other topics in a very detailed way, starting with the theme of 2012.
You can find this book on Amazon, or you can get a cheaper digital version or an autographed edition from his website markvanstone.com .

@volkswagens782 ,
You are welcome to drop by my school (Southwestern College) and introduce yourself anytime. Looks like you have as much to teach about cars as I have about the Maya. I remember fondly the Bug I had in 1985... great car; starter wouldn't turn but it was light enough to push-start almost anywhere...

Thanks for your comment, mebe84. Have you looked at FAMSI dot org & Mesoweb dot com? Both these (esp. my pages on 2012 in the Resources section at FAMSI.org) possess more information on the Real Maya than most of us could ingest in a lifetime!

Thanks, winwin, for noticing. My film team, Mike & Joanne, are very skilled. And I'll try to honor Maya music as well in future clips, though most of it --most music in general-- becomes too distracting.
