The neck is amazing man....its flamed maple with an ebony fretboard. Not too thin and not too thick; very fast. Mine is actually a custom shop model; on the back of the headstock it says "LA Custom Shop Mace Bailey"....Mace is the same guy that built Steve Vai's original Ibanez JEM and triple neck guitars :D
