A tribute to our beloved little daughter, Viktoria. She was diagnosed with trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome) 36 weeks into pregnancy. We decided to induce labor at 37 weeks. She was born with 1700 grams and 40cms.
We were given the chance to hold her in our hands, feed her, hug her. She smiled 3 times, grasped on our finger all the time - she loved us more than anything else in the world, and didn't want us to ever put her down.
After 24 hours, we went home, so she had a chance to see our place, to play with her big brother Peter, and to spend the night with us, lying between mother and father, holding one of their finger each. The next morning, she started to show signs of weakening, and around 10:20, mommy felt her grasp get weaker and weaker, passing away at 10:30.
During her 38 hour long life, she has given us all the love she could, and we loved her back as much as we could.
Rest in peace, our brave little angel. We will never forget you.
