The fuel pump has been replaced, so here's how it sounds when running. There is still a fuel leak to fix.

  • Do you still have the Reliant Wagon?

  • @luke4090 Yes. It's not going anywhere yet.

  • lol...what state is this...........they would never allow all those cars on one lawn where i live

  • @inkey2 It's Illinois -- and quite frankly, I have a hard time with people who cannot mind their own business. I don't mind my neighbors business--and I don't want them minding mine either. If someone has a problem with something I'm doing, they need to tell me about it in person.

  • @uxwbill I am originally from indiana but have lived in the boston area for many years. In the boston suburbs they would find a way to write you a fist full of tickets and bring you up on a dozen ordinces for that many cars....then again in massachusetts you can't have a bb gun, a sling shot, a blow gun, a cross bow.......or anything else that might protect you

  • @inkey2 Sounds like NO fun at all! I'm not hugely into those things, but they do have their uses. I had to get rid of some cars anyway, due to a kerfuffle that I made a video about.

If someone comes along who wants to mind my business for me, I'm going to be a very vocal opponent of it.

  • Be careful. :-) In some ways, a Reliant could be considered a "classic" or landmark automobile. They are widely attributed to have been the salvation of Chrysler Corporation in the early 80s and look how many vehicles--including the wildly successful minivans--were built from variations on that same platform...

Besides, I like 'em. They're cheap, reliable and--dare I say it--even *fun* to work on.

  • k car's are awesome..........

  • @uxwbill my late father bought a brand new Plymouth K car in about 1989, 4 door fully equipted (for a K car). He paid about 10 grand for it. Right after he bought it he suffered a major heart attack and for his remaining 10 years alive he rarely drove it....just to pick up his meds and go to church. We held on to the car many years after he died..up till last week when we finally sold it. It had 24,000 ORIGINAL MILES on it ...but the massachusetts snow & salt had done a job on the body, too bad

  • @uxwbill oh ok

  • @ahodina9811 Even in its degraded state, it's faster than the 4.3L V6 in the brown truck also seen in this video. So it'll do. Tests against a 3800 haven't been done. Yet.

  • 2.5??? man that car is slow... a 3.8 engine is fast!
