You can't help that the horse went out of control... But it would of made it a whole lot better if everyone stayed quiet, walked there horses to the inside of the arena, and let the horse run him self out. Because when everyone started chasing the horses, screaming and shouting it only made things worse.

According to the member who posted this (I contacted him today because we were so shaken by this video) all people and horses shown in this video were OK after this horrific incident, and, in fact, the horses that got loose both went on to be National Champions. But it's a great reminder that you don't just have to drive your own horse well, you also need to be very aware of how others are controlling their horses, too. Drive defensively!

It's an Arab he could have ran forever. First of all you should have gotten all the other horses out of the ring. Then maybe the horse could have ran itself out.

Let the horse run itself out can't safely stop a running horse. Most of the domino affect was caused by people trying to stop the first horse.
