@garrisongenerators thats the same way i feel. jimi was an innovator. made technical mistakes on the guitar but to be honest i liked the little mistakes

Seriously ? Are we so closed minded that we can't accept that there are many great guitarists all great in their own way ? I've never heard a bad guitarist that had his own style. SRV cleaned up Hendrix style and expanded on it. Hendrix was an innovator. Not a great technical guitarist. But music as we know it would not be the same without him. For my money there is not a better guitarist or performer than Stevie. But it's not all my money. It's all good. Love the music.
Best two piece band of all time, and I'm from Akron,OH so what does that tell you.

@aphotosyntheticworld get the hell out of here... they both compliment each other. And he wanted a drummer exactly like Meg - she was and still is perfect for the band. Just because she isn't Neal Pert and popping out 3 billion beats a second with laser like precision doesn't make her a terrible drummer.
