Thank you much

Pitchers with low velocity need to have a wider array of pitches in order to keep the batter guessing. Essentially, the pitcher uses his fastball to keep the hitters honest. In effective, he uses his fastball as a reverse change-up; the batter is expecting something offspeed and he gets a fastball. Even an less-than-impressive fastball can be blown by a hitter when he is sitting on a slow curve.

although Greg Maddux has low velociety but his movement is very big ~ he is kind of movement pitcher
Glavine is a low ve pitcher he has a great contorl of the ball for Curve slider and change thats all he always pitch around the strike zone and confuse batter

How can you work on moving that fastball around. My friend has a 75 mph fastball at age 13 but it only goes over the middle of the plate. please halp
i only throw about 83-85. i had a njcaa div 1 era low enough to be ranked in the top 50 (just short on innings cuz i was the closer) as a freshman but i will never be scouted. i dominate everytime i go out on the field by pitching backwards. but i'm only 5'8" 160. in h.s. i was cut my freshman year, by senior yr i pitched the championship game at wrigley. i can compete with any hitter but size and brute velocity is all scouts see.

I remember Frank really well. He is a hometown boy. He was referred to as "the great tantalizer" because of his wide array of slow offspeed pitches. These he managed to mix very effectively, frustrating opposing batters and making an 88 mph fastball surprising and effective when slipped in after a steady diet of breaking balls.
