We have the technology...

From the second TV movie titled, "Wine, Women and War". It should have been released with extra footage to theaters just like Universal did with Buck Rogers. This movie is just as good or better than "The Man With The Golden Gun". Lee Majors was at the top of his form and should have told TV to piss off so he could be a movie star instead. But his hesitance was understandable. He was starring in this series of movies And Owen Marshall: Counselor At Law at the same time. I wonder if he and Heather Locklear ever compared notes?

Lee Majors starred in American primetime series TV for nearly 18 seasons without a break. He IS the man!

  • @theplanetarypatriot Tthat IS the plot of the original novel, "CYBORG" upon which this series is based. Steve Austin teams up with Mossad agent Tanya and saves the Middle East.

  • if hollywood has sense...someone would cast the rock aka the gorgeous dwayne johnson as the 21st century six million dollar man...he has the beautiful body and the charisma...if anyone can make running in slow motion look cool...it's the rock...

  • @petercox9 Considering how poorly "BIONIC WOMAN" did in the ratings, I doubt that Dwayne Johnson would be young enough anymore by the time they get brave enough to seriously consider a "SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN" movie.

  • @chuckcollins Nonetheless, the original will do just fine as it is coming to DVD in the USA in fall 2010. Now you'll have something to stuff stockings with.

  • Dusty Springfield was obviously above this sort of thing artistically, but I'm sure had bills to pay, too. Sigh.

  • It wasn't exactly high art, but the movie was of such quality that it would have been worth a trip to the drive-in for sure.

  • @petercox9 Are you kidding..........They tried to make him the new Arnie and failed...............The world can only take so much political correctness and tokenism !!!!

  • This theme was used in the final two "Six Million Dollar Man" made-for-TV movies released in 1973, just before it was picked up as a weekly series. The first movie, "Cyborg," did not use this theme.

  • @shcuts maybe she didn't mind but her fans might have *lol* I wonder if the full theme song as performed by Dusty is lurking in the vaults anywhere - it would be great to have on CD.

  • that was just end timer zionist media israel was built to be destroyed along with america the planetary patriot will cancel the rapture once and for all that!

    smdm still great show

  • I remember watching the first appearance of the Six Million Dollar Man. It was a TV movie on ABC's Movie of the Weekend. They used this theme song. When it was made into a series, I remember being surprised that this theme wasn't used again.

  • Dusty = great theme!

  • Yeah, it was for real. I believe it only aired once, with the original movies. Once the intro was changed for the series, they replaced it Boo hoo. But I don't think the late, great Dusty minded that they took it off. LOL.
