A Commedia dell'arte project we had in Advanced Drama.

This was entirely improvised, as the play should be.

Please laugh.

  • This was incredibly poorly acted. I mean, I understand it was improvised, but this just looks like a group of kids got bored one day. It doesn't even look like anyone who even knows what drama or theatre is.

  • this was produced all in one class period. we did not rehearse this or get much time to discuss the play. therefore our shtick was this: an improv so bad, that it is good. it was meant to be cheesy and bad. that's where the humor comes in. you may not find this entertaining, but we did not make this video to please you. we made it to please ourselves and our sense of humor.

  • you can call this video whatever you like, but please do not insult my troupe by saying that we do not know what theatre or drama is. we can recite the zanni characters in commedia and spot an arlecchino or pantalone a mile away. we are well versed in theatre history from kabuki and noh to Moliere and Marlow. we are also an award winning troupe. to say that we don't know what drama or theatre is an ill-supported statement.

  • nor is this a video in which our talents are showcased. this is a video made for a class project and for my troupe's sheer entertainment.

thank you for your critique. sorry for the long reply.

  • lol, I'm just saying...because i was in that show.

  • geez, i cannot spell.

    i had no glasses on.

    anyways

this is lacking information, and you should know that.

it's a very loose interpretation of The Love of Three Oranges. Very.

we're missing a lot of things and probably got some things wrong.

  • I'm guessing this is based on the opera, not the recent play, right?

  • It may be 'ill-supported', but I have video evidence here showing that you don't know how to produce entertaining improv.

I have no clue what body would grant you awards, but I'm assuming it's out of pity.

Honestly, you can be frighteningly versed in whatever you'd like. I personally am a microbiologist; but the fact of the matter is that you can't even do 'so bad it's good' properly.

I see no talent here. Only pretension.

  • hahahahaha
