From our Rockstar Studio this is Tony T and now its time for NFL coverage with a lighter touch of Vegas. Its our Chick Pick Segment. We now welcome back to Gamblers Television with her Chick Pick Tricia Regan. Hello Tricia.
Tricia: Hi Tony and Hey everyone
Tony: We had a couple of early quarterback changes that have worked out. Kerry Collins hasnt lost a game at Tennessee replacing Vince Young and Gus Frerotte has led the Minnesota Vikings to a 3-2 start as the starter replacing Tavaris Jackson.
Tricia: Ya, its funny, sometimes things have a way of working themselves out. Im sure if you told these coaches that they werent going to have their starting quarterbacks healthy, they would have thought their seasons would be turning out very differently. I mean, this is the reason for having depth in a line-up. You never know when someone could be out.
Tony: OK now its time for Tricias Chick Pick. Lets pick the Houston Texans at Minnesota Vikings with the Vikings a 4-½ point favorite.
Tricia: Take Houston at plus 4 1/2 points. Quarterback Matt Schaub is the biggest reason for Houstons 3-game winning streak. With 9 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 73.6 completion percentage, and a 114.8 passer rating, I think we can safely say that hes found his rhythm. Expect Schaub to throw the ball a ton against Minnesota, the leagues 20th-ranked pass defense.
Tony: But Tricia, Houston is on the road. Its always harder to throw the ball on the road and especially in a dome where you have issues with crowd noise. Road receivers are always off step slow as they cant get off on the snap of the ball. Arent you worried the Vikings pass rush might get to Schaub?
Tricia: Ya, I think Schaub always have to be aware of the pass rush, especially when playing a team with a great run defense. But lately hes been playing really well. Just last week he completed 24-of-28 passes for 280 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Bengals.
Tony: Tricia the Texans have been bad on the road. Especially defensively. They gave up 38 at Pittsburgh, 31 at Tennessee and 30 at Jacksonville.
Tricia: True, but the Vikings havent been doing too well defensively either. They are coming off their worst performance of the season against the Bears.
Tony: OK Tricia Regan says take the Texans plus the 4 ½ points. Thank you Tricia its always good to see you and to have you on the set of Gamblers Television.

  • Tricia Regan, you may be hot but you were DEAD WRONG. Matt Schaub did HORRIBLE in that game. Rosenfels replaced him and did better. Tony T predicted right the Texans Secondary would do bad by giving up 3 TDs.
