In this time-lapse clip with see the problems with getting a bad route survey. After having to jump the median with the tractor and the load we end up getting stuck on the on-ramp for 2.5 hours only a couple of miles from delivery. The tow truck had to hook up several times in order to get this long oversize load around the ramp.

This was a long and tedious end to a long day, but we managed to get the load delivered in the end.

  • what was in the load?

  • @Bahzad23 The empty silo was the load. Can't transport a silo like this full of anything the weight would be outrageous.

  • Which dumb shit decided to go that way without a steerable trailor ??

  • @godzillasdad The (bogus) survey was performed by Eric's Flag Car out of MA. Obviously they didn't drive the route before submitting the survey.

  • Did the tow truck company bill that as one tow, or 20?

  • @edpotkay1 The driver was actually very lucky on this one. The good tow truck driver only charged him $350 for the whole thing. I've seen something similar cost as much as double that.

  • Well done, keep on trucking

  • speelin2011 got a point i was thinking the same thing

  • @24678903 Thank You, I'm glad someone thinks I'm right

  • @TheDb351c absolutely right. He should have been all the way over to his left side on the approach and clearly he wasn't.

  • I think it would be in its place to use a trailer with turning wheels..

  • Driver awareness is a key factor in not F-ing up when you haul oversize loads. Get a few years under your belt and you will realize this wont be your last routing problem.

  • Question.... why did the driver not stop before the trailer was halfway in the ditch? He should have come to a stop long before the trailer left the roadway...

  • @godzillasdad The State permits where you go, you go where they say, believe me, it's not always well thought out.

  • @TheDb351c had he swung any wider, he would have driven over that guardrail
