The arabs lost spain beacuse they lost the war against defending armies, who wanted to repel the foreigners from their land.Sounds reasonable? And it says in the Quran that every muslim should "Slay the pagans wherever you may come upon them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every conceivable place". Sound legit?:)

@faro0485 well, I appeciate the honesty there. some people are so close minded they would have you believe muslim empires grew without any violence at all. they weren't completely exempt from forced conversion either. yeh, Im not saying we didn't commit attrocities in South America but it's not completely fair to blame the entire spread of Christianity on that. many missions were set up by those who dedicated their lives to poverty...and it wasn't the Priests that were doing the killing.
