@JahmelldeJong It is impossible to limit technology, especially not at this stage of its development. We're at a point now where new technology is demanded by technology in a self-perpetuating process. It can be useful to think of it as a mutually beneficial parasitic lifeform. As it helps us survive, we help it. Like the mitochondria bacteria in every cell of your body. Eventually I can see us merging completely.

You forget that there are scientific discoveries like this every day and not all of them end up making bombs or tools of destruction. This 'playing God' as you put it, has you sleeping sound at night, and you owe it to medical technology like this.

Why do they always disguise this type of research with the advantages it would have with human disease, etc? We all know that's not the true intent otherwise things like Alzheimers would already have a cure.
As interested as I am to see the potential of this I know for certain it would end in disaster. There's too much corruption in the world for this to be of any benefit to us.

You cant do this with the human brain yet because it is far too complex. There are so many connections within it that we do not even have the technology to fully understand it.

Yes playing God is fascinating, When Einstein helped to create atomic he knew of the ramifications it could have. We do something with god intentions playing God. And they are used to destroy us, our humanity, and our touch with reality and the earth. I love technology as much as anybody but we must learn to limit ourselves.
