I'm growing tired of responding to your muddled thinking.

Only individuals and organisations can be subject to libel actions, not inanimate objects such as a thesis. Katz was subject to a libel action. Pappe was not.

If you have anything of consequence to say (or even just something that is accurate) let's hear it, otherwise it's better to keep quiet and stop making an arse of yourself.

@redword2007 This demonstrates exactly what I said. Ilan Pappe is a simple Liar. 10 March 1948 is Plan Dalet. It is a plan which says in simple words that should we find ourselves attacked by the entire Arab mass of the middle east combined the Arabs will have to choose sides: those who sign a form, submit all weapons, automobiles and comm equipment will be given Hagannah protection. Those who refuse to submit - out. simple and clear. Its a contingency plan and at the end they weren't deported.

You are trying to tell me what is in a book that I have read and you haven't? That's pretty stupid of you.

All I have to do is go to the endnotes to see a range of references to Israeli state archives that provide a blueprint for ethnic cleansing e.g. "IDF Archives, GHQ/Operations Branch, 10 March 1948, File 922/75/595"

By all means inform yourself of the facts and have an argument, but don't continue to make a fool of yourself by arguing from a position of ignorance.

@redword2007 Indeed, I don't get the irony: Ilan Pappe DID lost the libel case which was filed against his student on a thesis he was supervising. What does that make him other then a liar? In his book he gives plenty of references to "historical sources", but not even one reference to any state archive which describes any deportations except Lydda (which was a special case of rebellion after surrendering). And I don't even need to read his book to know this, since this was the only one.

@redword2007 Ilan Pappe was the supervisor of Teddy Katz thesis. The Libel charge was against Teddy Katz, but as a supervisor Pappe was directly involved. So your dismissal of Pappe involvement in the case is exactly what nit-picking is describing.. Again, Pappe was directly involved and lost the case together with Katz.

The irony of this will no doubt be entirely lost on you, but I'm sure others will enjoy it.

The endnotes in Pappe's book is full of references to the state sources he uses to establish that ethnic cleansing occured. I have the book in front of me. You obviously haven't read it so why would anyone treat anything that you say seriously?

I don't know if you are deliberately trying to mislead people or if you are just ignorant of the facts, but in either case, my drawing attention to your error can not be dismissed as "nitpicking." Truth matters.
