Recall seeing a 58 on a Cowley car working in the '90s,great loco, withdrawn
well before their time and for what, crap 66s!
-
Thatll be good. shame to see them not bein used at the moment as originally intended.
-
Only a couple! Poss see a few reurn on OUR main lines when the finantial slump ends as DBS has admited it wont have enough loco`s when things pick up lol
-

That's the first time i've heard one winding up the power, thanks. There's a good video by Locomaster Profiles called, 'Toton The Works' which has some good footage of a 58 in the workshop and how complex they became to work on due to all the modifications :(

A number of these locomotives have been dismantled at Toton by EWS.
Lovely loco to drive, sound fantastic but they were a little light on their feet.Nice to see the old girl doing what she was built to do. Some things never change, freight getting stopped at Oxford. (Welcome to the Western Region, Driver.)
