Catfish Grabbing, Noodling on the Tenn-Tom in Mississippi

Fisherman catching catfish in the river with nothing but their bare hands. Hold your breath to watch this video! They find a fish hiding in a hole in the bank of the river. Then, they put a stick in front of the whole to prevent the fish from swimming out. One person reaches around the stick into the hole and puts his hand into the fishs' mouth and hopefully comes up still holding on to the fish.

so, i know very little about noodling...how does it work? you find a hole in the river bottom and stick your hand down there and hope there's a catfish in there? what happens if it ain't a cat and it's a snake? or a snapping turtle?

@CallMeTheHunter The trick to it is a snake isnt gunna be in a rock thats all the way underwater becuz they cant breathe underwater and they will have to come get air so they get a rock that sticks out of the water and about the turtle you just pray it aint a turtle lol

How do you noodle I'm supposed to go on a noddleing trip but do the swim around you or do u throw bate near then grab em or what

yes ur right!what if its not catfish?what if its snake or other scary things inside water? no way! i wont do that!

how? it isn't cheating other fishermen can jump in and do the same thing.

also, if it was too easy and gave the fisherman an unfair advantage which is what i think you meant by cheating, i would argue that its how man used to catch fish before he made it easier by using sporting equipment.
