Here is the next series of wrestling 101 videos with more dynamic throws and take downs. Here Nick demonstrates a simple outside single leg switch to a double with knee tap.

  • hey i was wondering which 10th planet gym does eddie bravo primarily teach at and do u have a gym around philly ive been doing mma nd bjj for bout a year but would like to try the 10th planet system

  • @westbrookfan2 In Hollywood Calf bro!

  • what happened to the bjj videos?

  • @dfed0530 What do you mean? We have many on our channel. We like to feature all grappling styles (hence the wrestling series). There is a whole bunch more coming soon!

  • The way he's teaching this move, he better hope none of his students ever try to pull this off on an actual wrestler. Its better to hit the knee tap w/ a full penetration step and not drop your knee to the ground. This guy probably never wrestled competitively.

  • @Geno8675309 This demo was to break down the movements for those who hadn't ever wrestled before. The knee movement (hitting the ground) was to excentuate how the hips should be under your partner (and not lifting with your back). Videos are only slices in time after all.

  • @vmafighterbjmt I am not a wrestler but I have brought this up with Nick and several other wrestlers. My conclusion is that there are more ways to skin a cat than most realize. I am aware that how some people learn a system (wrestling or bjj) will cause them to say "that is wrong". I appreciate the different views as that is what makes the martial arts interesting. I also know that different people and styles will have something to offer. Do what makes you happy after all.

  • nice cameo @ 1:30 :)

    thanks for the vids

    wrestling 101!!

  • Don’t go to a BJJ page to learn wrestling…there are so many things wrong with this video (form a wrestling stand point). Learn moves in the context of the sport they were designed in and then make them fit the style you are interested in.

  • Well he DID state he was just showing the move off to help people learn. I'm a BJJ guy but I can totally respect the wrestling style. Most of the time in sparring guys go for that takedown. I may not understand everything he is doing but I think it is bad to expose your head so much. But then I know very little about wrestling so... Great vid though, I would LOVE to see what a Muay Thai class looks like.

  • This is great

  • Wrestling is a definite must have in grappling! Hope ya'll keep it coming.

  • Its a lot easier to pick it up if you continue to drive after you grab it because when you really do it the defender will be sprawling.

  • What im getting at is here at this or any Video show you this or that site always remeber you can learn something here that will help ya. I have to say it will never replace learning from a Master wrestler in person.

  • I see alot of times is just little details that are just showing few bad ideas to get accross some good ideas at same time. It is kind of like showing big looping hook punch, some say this is only a punch, but point is that is true but there is really good punching or just big punch that can be blocked easy.
