Kenney is a neo-conservative like his friends to the south in the Republican party. He wants everyone to be the same as him: white, conservative, racist, militaristic (without actually serving himself). Just like the reactionary Reform party he keeps alive with his deportation and censorship agenda. Kenney is ruining Canada and I'm glad you questioned his backwards policies! His answer is more ridiculous spin!

While I disagree with some of Minister Kenney's views, I don't think he is a racist.
I've met him a few times and know that he has done some good in other areas.

Well, when someone laughs when you raise the issue of him deporting a Mexican woman to death, then I think you call a spade a spade. The Reform party from which he comes had many racist policies on the books. Kenney has through stealth created the kind of immigration and deportation policies that play to the racist, anti-immigrant base in his party who want no "outsiders" into Canada. Even though the current "Canada" is based on immigration, and liberal immigration policies at that.

As Canadians, we have our political freedom and should exercise it to tell our elected politicians exactly what we think when we think they are wrong (or right).

Well, it is his job to answer and explain to the press and Canadians. So I guess Jason wasn't shy.
