Beautiful Katamari - Sunrise Castle - 4m38cm8mm

Today on IRC FoominFan and Iramatak asked me to make a video of this stage, or maybe just one of them asked, or maybe we got talking about this stage and I just volunteered, I'm not really sure. I never made a video of this stage other than the one I made about a week after the game was released, so it's a good thing that I made a new one.

But it was a struggle. I haven't played this stage for diameter in years, and besides the first part I had forgotten my old route. Well it took a lot of tries, but I ended up with a video that turned out well by my standards.

This video is fun for me to watch, because from 2m50cm onward I don't know what the heck I was doing. I was attempting this without a route from then on, instead just kind of knowing what things I want to pick up and usually missing a bunch of them. This particular attempt turned out to be more roundabout than most, and I know this is the only time I've taken anything like this path. (So whatever you do, do not base your route from 3m onward by this video :P)

Someone who doesn't know this stage well will wonder what in the world I am doing in the last ten seconds. I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off when there are plenty of objects around me that I could be picking up. But it ended well :)

It would be quite awesome if SeamonkyNG or qpmynz2 posts a Sunrise Castle video that blows this one out of the water!

In Beautiful Katamari, pausing just before a size-up means the game has time to load the next part of the stage while the clock is not counting. The same thing can help a tiny bit in KF, but in BK it helps big-time.
