A quick tour of Detroit proved quite shocking. Entire neighborhoods literally falling apart. The grand, majestic buildings from the golden age of Detroit empty and crumbling. Seb Walker reporting.
I am from Detroit, i've seen this for myself and it just really makes me sad to see my beautiful city fall victim to such a horrible epidemic.I live in MN now and my parents still live there and looking @ what's going on i can't understand why they are still there... I just ask for everyone to pray for the city that has made so much history for America, all i want to know is WHY????
Detroit will rise again from the destroyed concrete buildings and all the dust and show what a strong city it is. And the car production will increase even more that it did during the last year of 2011. Good luck Detroit!
@nhlalwenhlezondo It will be when they send you your first property tax bill, I'll promise you that. Especially once you're done refurbishing it and making it livable again.
They'll soak your $50-house-buying ass for thousands every year while the top 1% laugh at you while paying essentially nothing.
$100 dollar homes! Unbelivable! Of course the houses are a lost cause but the land is worth more. Buy up a neighborhood and it will be worth way more in a few decades, even if it ends up being farmland.

@petereuropa Not to be cynical and pessimistic but, no it most likely won't.

the recession did this to detroit? Try 40 years of horrific leadership, failed liberal policies, and indifference of city's black population.
