With the Nokia 808 PureView http://nokia.ly/wMyn2A you can keep zooming -- up to 3 times as close -- with no loss of detail. It works with video too, so you can shoot Full HD video at 30 frames per second at 4 times zoom.

Truth is, a higher megapixel sensor doesn’t necessarily mean high-quality images on its own, so don't just look at megapixels and forget about the rest of the hardware & software specs.

exactly. Nokia does still seem to have the edge for cameras in mobiles though, the fact that they keep having a Carl Zeiss lens is awesome :P

Only Symbian is capable of handling the camera with that humongous sensor with a specific chipset just to process the images...
That's what ppl can't see actually the true power of symbian is it can optimize the hardware specs well without draining the batter like some OS does

I just don't get it why didn't Nokia build it on a Windows 4n rather than on the Symbian...

clearly you don't have bluetooth 3.0(and nfc).
plus the 41 MP sensor is used to make 5 or 8 MP (by default, though it can be set for upto 38 MP) for divine quality images.

The "WTF WP7" cannot handle specialist hardware. Let alone specialist hardware, it works off of specified hardware only.
And android is way too generic and slow. And nokia hates it.
