We take a look at Cam Ranh Bay's former USAF Base in 2006. It lies withing a restricted military area and we were not permitted entry. These views are taken from the former US Naval Air Facility, across the runway from the former USAF Base. Scenes from 1968, 1970 and 1971 are also included.

    Don,

    Your name is very familiar.

  • @1956safari do you remember Don Kolb, security police, law enforcement? you can email me at donvic65@live.com - I was there from march 69-March 70

  • I was stationed down at the south end of the peninsula at the Navy base. I was shocked at see on Google Earth that NOTHING remains. Nothing. The only things that are visable are the concrete pads for the buildings and oddly enough the outline of the softball field.
