Lizarraga, a junior who played under the lights of the Sprint Center in the 2009 NCAA Tournaments first round, was born deaf and has never wanted people to feel sorry for him or give him an easy way out.

  • Most people have obstacles. It doesn't take a genius to get through school. You can be deaf, mentally challenged, or even blind but you can get through nearly anything on determination alone. It's so inspiring to see people with difficulties overcoming their hardships. You'd be surprised to see how many people who have perfect senses and high I.Q.'s but end up in jail because crime was all they wanted to put their energy in. Thx for reading.
