  • OR,  u can leave the yeast ALONE in water with sugar to activate it

  • if you use chemical levener and your bread tastes bitter, you might have used a little too much baking powder.maybe, next time you can replace some of the water with a little beer and reduce the baking powder.remember, a little can go a long way (sometimes)

  • i just made a recipe of whole wheat bread minutes ago, i did use baking powder instead of yeast. the dough obviously didn't double its size and it's kinda bitter on the inside.
