Bricks are made from clay. This is dug from the ground, crushed and mixed with a little water to form the sort of thick paste you see in the video. Dried and then baked in the kiln at about 800 degrees centigrade. No other ingredients are used. A chemical change takes place in the baking process that stops the clay from being broken down by water.
