  • I think that the client broadcasts the request to the address of 255.255.255.255 instead of 192.168.11.255. How can the client know that the DHCP server deals out addresses from 192.168.11.0/24 network. The broadcast address should be 255.255.255.255. Correct me please if I am wrong about it.

  • So this is assuming that the camputer knows what ip the dhcp has? It cant just broadcast some sort of question?

  • Great little video, but not entirely accurate - the computer doesn't give the IP address back when it's finished.
